We had a bit of a trial moving into our new place and are still arguing with the developer over the field of weeds, rubble, and chipped trees that was supposed to be a paddock for two old nags which is about to get legal. Small beer by comparison. That said, I met with their MD the other day and pointed out to him that he still has the other seven barns to sell and we talk to everyone that visits the development...we don't mind having the run of the place to ourselves...
I had my own tut moment at the weekend. We have a free range chicken farm at the bottom of the garden although the buzzards tend to make the chickens less free range. It has an electric fence around the perimeter. We were playing with an Aerobie which can fly hundreds of feet if you throw it right and I managed to launch into the field. The fence is a high wobbly affair so unclimbable. Undeterred by this I went and got my aluminium ladders and put them on the other side of the fence, shimmied up a tree and climbed down the other side avoiding the leccy fence. I retrieved the Aerobie and chucked back to my son. Unbeknown to me Ben had pulled the ladders closer to the electric fence such that when I stood on them they tipped towards it touching it. Bugger me it was chuffing sore. I chased him round our field of weeds, tripped and fell into nettles. I thought Ben was going to wet himself he was laughing so hard. Kids! No respect.

Would love to have seen it Kelv, would make a change to have a laugh at someone else who could fit into a Brian Rix Whitehall farce.

Hell of a day.......
Kelvin, that's priceless.
At your age you ought to be taking it easy.
Welcome to your new abode. I'm not sure that we have congratulated you on it yet, sounds smashing.
Would have taken up your offer to stop over en route to Walshy / Frolic but plans were both too advanced and too complicated! May still be able to pay a flying visit in one direction or another though.
Cheers

More than welcome Campbell. In fact, offer goes to any Scottish Eliser who finds themselves in the badlands that is South Cambridgeshire or surrounds and you need a pit stop en-route to somewhere. Just ping me on here.
