Nurses and doctor are great, they like my sense of humour and enjoy chatting.

Just getting the last drip session, then two more in injections at 12.

All the best tut, which foot is it?

Left = perfect excuse for a sequential paddle-shifter...

Hope you are doing OK old chap!

need we ask how you ended up with an infection in your foot?

I struggle to fathom that anything would survive on your feet let alone infect them!

Better a woofter in the driver seat than a passenger old bean.

Beats me Clark, never managed it in 40 years, and it started off in just my toe.

No cuts or stings, so either tied up with the gout, which is supposed to be joints, or just one of those things. I blame it on the SNP.

Gout can go to the point of infection,

My Granny had to get a couple of toes removed through gout.

Are you getting the all clear from infection now?

Fcuking hate old people in hospital who try to speak to you when they can barely get a word out and you have to pretend to understand them. Sitting at the table for lunch with three of them and I just want to slit my wrists. As they barely finish before the next meal I have to wait until I am wheeled back to my room. I will vote for any Party that builds Euthanasia Centres. On top of that the old geezer opposite me fell asleep with his face in the soup, shot his leg out and kicked my foot, I let out a yell, the nurse dropped a plate of stovies on the floor, and I got the blame.

:damnfunny
Hospitals are sh*t places to be if youre mentally alert. Last time I was in I had 2 days of constant sleep because of reaction to Meds then 3 days of hell when every other sleeping/ farting / breathing person annoyed me. Day 5 I decided I would rather be ill at home, and checked myself out.
Sometimes though you just need to put up with the short term grief for the greater benefit of getting the right treatment and care. Keep smiling Tut :blackeye

Yep, no choice, have to stay in until they have got rid of the infection or I will never get the op done.

Tut, you are a menace - the nurse obviously has you pegged as a trouble maker and you will now get it in the neck for everything that happens.

You're lucky to get fed. Last time I was in hospital they asked me a million questions about my age, sexuality, religious beliefs and Christ knows what. When they were done I said to them that there was only one thing they actually needed to know and had not asked - I am a vegetarian! Oh, she says. I got a plate of grated cheese for the only "meal" I ever had in hospital. I don't think they appreciated my sense of humour, either ;-) I do feel for them, though - wasn't her fault that form didn't ask - wasn't her fault the kitchen didn't actually cater for vegetarians.

Cheers,
Robin
