I think rather than soapy water I read a while back to use a little johnstone's baby shampoo in water.
As mentioned for the flat sections that would be fine but the corners would be hard to stick. I think the pros just stick it straight on with a plastic card to keep the air out. I didn't fancy trying all the intricate bits on the Elise hence paid for it to be done.

It was me you saw in harris/lewis in my S2 exige around April time this year. I was wondering if you were on here...

Also to add some value to the actual conversation.... I'm thinking I might get this done but will probably wait till next year. CMC recommended Alan at Ultimate Custom in Glasgow, I spoke to him and he had suggested about 500 quids for an exige GT style configuration of 4 stripes 2 thick and 2 thin 2 colours.

Yes, as long as they are the right colour and put on the right way round. :thumbsup

I've been meaning to give them a call. I was chatting to Craig about pricing up this for mine and he suggested them as well

Tbh, I've been umming and ahhing about doing it for ages to my car but £500 is perhaps a bit steep to take a punt on it.... :(

That looks nice!

Is the lower section silver? If so, IMHO, it looks better than white in the lower section. 8)

I know what you mean, the white is quite a contrast. Mibbi silver could be the compromise to tone it down a little? As I say, I thought that image had silver on the lower part.

Now wondering what mine would look like in that arrangement, (quicksliver coloured car) with either blue or white lower section.

P.S. Could do that with plastidip, inexpensive, and if it did not look good could be easily removed. :thumbsup

I think that looks good too tbh.

Main thing is the stripe following the natural sill line on the car, instead of just straight and half way up the car like Lotus do it... which always looks wrong to me.

 They must have thought you wanted them to come up to you to fit them

Is there anywhere in Edinburgh that does wraps? I need to put the car into Craig to get some new suspension and would like to get the wrap done at the same time if possible!

(But not for £500+ quid!)

I'd suggest £500 would be cheap for a half car wrap - especially one as curvy as an S1? Maybe not- not looked into it in any detail, but any time I've seen wraps being done, it's been 4 figure sums for whole car wraps.
