This is modern politics, you need to manage the grid and your keys to power. You have to manage the news release good a constant stream of news and soundbites that keep your people happy to bury bad news and keep the press full of your agenda. If you have crappy news you have to get out you dump it on s day nobody is going to write about it (£700m NHS contract to virgin health for example) then you keep your core vote happy. Trump did the same with the wall etc. You say things that keep your voters happy and if you piss off people then that doesn't matter as long as you keep the importnat people happy it doesn't matter. Thats why the young get f**ked and the old get a triple lock on their pensions.

Back to trump more people voted for Hilary than Trump it's just the American electoral college system has a 7% error rate on who wins.

I for one am not going to the Media normalise Trump he's a c*nt. This give him a chance sh*t is exactly that he's a lying, misogynist racist troll with tiny hands.

I'm not happy he's in but i think someone mental needed to get in somewhere. if it wasn't him it would be farage or le pen etc etc

This way everyone gets to see him furiously backpedalling when he realises things aren't as simple as he thought they were. Hopefully there will be a lesson there for the rest of the world.

Also interested to see he's already talking of employing some of swamp dwellers he was so against......

And how is he a swamp dweller

You might want to look up his history first.

I have and yep, he's successful, far from daft, and he isn't specifically a swamp dweller, but he seems to appeal directly to the swamp dwellers and some of their extreme-right views.

His whole campaign was based on the fact that the existing system is corrupt, career politician are self serving and the elite in office aren't representing their country.

Based on that i'd expect everyone he appoints to be new to politics and not part of said elite. Giuliani? not sure he fits that bill for one.

well, that's a bit simplistic..

1) he never said *all* politicians are corrupt and bought/paid for
2) ignoring (1) just how do you propose he go forward not dealing with the senate and congress?

to use your example, please just how is Rudy Giuliani one of the swamp dwellers? - he's never been a Senator or Congressman.

I think sturgeon is doing a great job, as far as rating politicians goes.

Amuses me when people berate her and expunge the virtues of a.n.other politician they agree with more. That's what politicians do! So by constantly bemoaning one politician's view and approach... you're actually acting like them yourself... oh the irony.. lol

Politics is broken and they're all just in it for themselves. Like her or loathe her, Sturgeon is playing the current game well.

Part of me is glad Trump got in tbh. Global politics needed a shakeup and we definitely need less career politicians imho

Now.. back to the popcorn and flinging of poo.... as you were

Racist
Misogynistic
Xenophobic
Islamophobic

all without a shred of evidence other than secret recordings of casual conversation decades old.
You could use his own words as evidence.

He criticised a judge, questioning his independence because of his Mexican heritage.
He suggested a Muslim mother couldn't speak because her husband was forbidding it, and that all Muslims were terrorists.
He's been massively and consistently disrespectful to women.

we then get treated to wave after wave of professional victims rolled out by the media telling us that it's hateful racism.
Because other that hateful racism there's the other sort, the nice, non-existent racism that you were referring to (when you said he wasn't racist at the top of the post). And what "professional victims"?

The Dem candidate is a crook, pure and simple, bought and paid for by the goldman sachs of this world along with almost every arab state, all dressed up as the clinton foundation, the only beneficiaries being the clintons.
