IT for me - software consultant specialising in telecoms and utilities. Always notice there seem to be a hell of a lot of IT people on Web forums. Suspect that is because a) we spend far too much time in front of a PC and need a bit of distraction, and b) we tend to be a mercenary bunch who don't care if we are getting paid while geeking around on the Internet. Although I'm a partner in the company, so I'm wasting my own time :? :D

Tut,

Did you know that there was some special anniversary for Muffin the Mule last week as he was 50 years old I think and was the first childrens TV programme?

Very sadly I know that they had two Muffins as the strings kept breaking, so they needed two to complete the live show.

happy viewing.

:cheers

I'm officially a Senior Systems Designer for an IT consultancy, but I'm working more as an IT Business Analyst these days. I'm currently on-site as a Business Analyst for a full year for one of our clients. I mainly work with Telcos, but my company works in a lot of other sectors too.

Ed, I'm an Oracle 10g certified DBA and I'm also a Java programmer, but not using much these days while doing the Business Analysis. My company does a lot of Oracle stuff, so send me some details and I'll pass them onto our training reps.

BTW, if any of you IT bods are looking for a new job, my company currently have quite a few vacancies. Check out http://rtel.com/Recruitment/CurrentVacancies.aspx and PM me if you're interested and I can make a personal recommendation! :D
