Anyone bought or sold a car privately recently?

I've stated that the price is fixed on any car I've sold for the past few years and set a price that I'd be happy to take but nowhere near a bargain. In some cases it's possibly been the highest priced car of its type for sale. Doing it that way has meant I've had no qualms about replying to any offer with a fairly blunt, "no thanks" but has, I think, acted like a partial filter to minimise having to deal with timewasters.
