Matt black for the wheels and undertray etc would look good against the metalic black of the car.David Bryce wrote:Another vote for the black wheels from me!
I have also been thinking about doing the same thing to my wheels and undertray (as well as getting a louder exhaust as I'm sick of NeilP asking if my car is running!) but I think the black on black combo may be too much?
Black wheels and undertray? Opinions?

David, I think the black would look good with your car. Ed's Exige looks great with the black wheels (when he cleans it
) so I don't see why the black wheels won't look good on your Elise.
Right, I'm going to get the diffuser done in the next couple of weeks if possible then will get the wheels done when I've got a bit of spare cash in the next couple of months. Hopefully have them done in time for TT2007!

bugger, now you have me giving this more thought!
here is my car as it is at the moment (well it's not quite as clean as it was when I took this photo a few months ago)

and here it is with black wheels (please excuse the crap photo-shop work as I have just spent a few minutes doing it and I am on my second bottle of wine tonight!)

i'm thinking the wheels, undertray and petrol cap thingy would be better black?

Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
I just got my newly powdercoated Undertray back from Coatech in Carnoustie. I also got the fuel filler bit done in black as well (cheers Si
) and (ok, getting a bit poncy here but...) am going through the process of replacing the 'LOTUS' 'elise' and '111R' script from the original silver to black.

I got my "LOTUS" black decals made up by a guy who was down Starthycruise one night in a Van with all the gear to make up car graphics. Think it cost me £5 for two sets which was handy as the second set was used after my car got a full respray (With compliments of MMC/Paint Manufacturer), just before I sold it. It looked great as I handed the keys over to the garage
