Had exactly the same a few weeks ago.

A few taps with a punch shocked the sheared spline head unstuck, then I managed to lever it out of the bolt-head with a couple of scalpel blades.

Soaked overnight with lube, then a (little) heat, longer extension and the bolts finally shifted.

Locking one would be a different story probably.

Good luck :?

Cheers for the drill bits and oil Alan, hopefully the oil will do the trick and the drill bits wont be needed. Fingers crossed.

JJ you up for a session at Domsport?

To get the broken bit out, just use a self tapping screw, that's how Ronnie did mine.

Spot on Dom, cheers :thumbsup

New wheel bolts have arrived, and got JJ's spline key, fingers crossed the oil will do the job of loosening the bolts up so drilling wont be required.

Myself and Dom were prepared to rough however I would suspect the Domsport "old man spec chariot" being an ye olde open top 60's roadster might not have benefited being pushed into the rain to access the tools. So games a bogey until the suns oot.

Fingers crossed, I dont think the tyre will survive too long without a repair. R888's are still out of stock till mid to late July so if I can get it sorted this week I should be ok :D

Success.. almost. Managed to get the wheel nuts off, all but one which would of course be the locking wheel nut. Tried drilling it out be was proving to be a very slow process so we gave up to ask for the forums advice on how to get it off?

Thanks again to Dom :thumbsup
