I reckon a CD player is a must - linked to an Ipod/Mp3 player,

as the radio reception is non-existant.
However, a DVD player is a bit much IMHO!
Can she not just put up with your chat?
No you don't understand it would be a REAL SHAME if she were to miss eastenders when out and about

And it's a very important purchase, we don't want to get lost - the satnav is a must. Also, the DVD player is required so I can do software updates
In all seriousness, she told me to go to f*ck when I mentioned buying it, the excuses above will hopefully help

I think thats a bit harsh - im actually with Gary here id love to get something like that done as iv seen a few in vx220's but the dash falls over the edge of the CD unit on my 02 model so a flip out wont work...
But i did fit my own LG CD/MP3 player and as long as you have the tools to get your old one out (keys) your new one should be dead easy to fit....
Just want to disconnect your battery first and your good to go G..

I am not sure if my Aircon outlets are going to put a spanner in the works, I think they are popping out slightly, will all be measured first.
I will be gutted if I can't get it in.

yeah i think on the newer models the two aircon units above do stick out slightly but all motorised monitors have an angle option so you could move it slightly (i could do the same but it would be facing the floor...)
either that of if you go to a coachworks they could make you a dash mount and you could fit a screen into it so that it sits over beside the tax disc (currently an option im looking into)
just cant do that myself

Thanks for the link. Not too keen on the install price at RaySmiths, will definately shop around.

IIRC AndyG's RLC came fitted with a 40in plasma - wasn't he selling that?
As for this educated discussion you're after, try an audio forum. We're here for the cars and the driving of them
