Big turn out for the launch I see. Darling really doesn't do the No campaign any favours. From the yes perspective the guy has been a god send :)

I think thats folk from the posters, but wow, how cr4p is the PR department of the No camp?
Its like a cheesy first attempt on paint.net.

I watched a vid explaining the detail on the finances. IF the finances were post-risk-shakeup, i.e. after markets settled down, then financially Scotland would be better off.

Risk is the big thing, markets and money doesnt like risk in a big way.

Would my union jack be out of date too? uggg :P

"why an independent Scotland could become the richest country on earth"

Watch on YouTube

The "triple" apparently which no other country has:
1. oil
2. small
3. strong financial services /strong regulation.
= economical wealth.

"keeping the pound will be the dumbness decision Scotland will make"
Agree its not true independence without fiscal/currency independence , have always said that.

Not saying I agree or disagree with the points in the video but interesting all the same.

When we have completely free and instant medical treatment, ie:- no BUPA to ensure that you are still alive when you do get it, no income tax or any other type of tax, petrol cheaper than water, a fantastic roads system, Airports that make Aberdeen International look like a flying club, probably the best schools in the World, all of which the likes of Saudi, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, then I shall stop laughing.

The Russians will be quietly smirking if the UK breaks up, especially given the effect this could have on the cohesiveness of NATO and the economic strength of a major western economy..

Does anyone know what the value of the export market is in the UK?

Apparently the taxes that are paid, are based on the location of the port that the exports are shipped out of. The majority of Scottish exports are through ports down south so the money is never seen as a Scottish contribution.

I'd be interested to hear if it's a lot of money or if it's just a small amount.

Sounds like a nationalist propaganda message to me Bob, I'm not sure TBH. Even if it was, its not likely to change since we don't have any major container ports in Scotland.

If there is a "Yes" vote, will it then become "Little Britain"?

Big change in bookies odds over a week.

Gone from 1/8 to 1/2.5. At this rate as I think there will be a greater % of yes voters as opposed to no voters turning out, it could now be a close run thing. If the unknowns are not 50-50 then that could have quite a bearing on the result.

I presume that if one side wins by two votes, then that stands, there does not have to be a % majority?
