Robin has been off cutting lead sheets to get the RLC up to the 750kg class weight target.
Seems a bizarre concept to be adding weight to it - all in the name of racing
Another massive thanks to Robin (and i think FD and Lawrence) for helping get me ont he right side of the regs

Here's the footage from car 44, with a certain Paul Golding starring at druids, after and inspired move round the outside of the pack, which i followed!
Some other highlights - Gav flying of in a cloud of dust, a good scrap with Thorney, Tom in his second drive of his Elise, Skeggsy (did he pass under yellow???) in Malcoms SC Exige, Doug in his Class C dissapearing down the straigh special, and Hans at the end........was just preparing a pass when I spotted the chequered flag......gutted.
Tess and one or 2 other cars who got stuffed byt eh safety car also appear towards the end.
I've removed the safety car laps, but see if you can spot where! (flukey editing)

Silverstone -
Saturday morning - 3am - I'm outiside waiting for Robin and our trusty TSe steed, wtahcing people returning from town in taxi's and wondering what I'm doing up at this hour with a 5 hour stint ahead just to get to Silverstone.
Massive thanks to Robin though as he does the entire drive, despite my offering to share and I kip for about 3 hours. (think it might have been the in car from the brands DTM that put him off!
)
Arrive at Silverstone, after stopping to get the RLC keys off McApe at a local Little Chef - big thanks to him and Walshy for getting the RLC from Kelvins to Silverstone for me.
RLC seems fine so change the tyres to the racing rear set, and head for scrutineering. Long Q, and these boys are very anal, checking everything they can think of.
RLC fails for the fog light not working, and the electrical kill switch kills everything apart from the headlights - which they will let me qualify with, but want sorted. Get grief for the scratches on my Arai also.
Roar out of the bay and back to the paddock to get Robin on the case. He and Kelvin jump on it and Scuffers diagnoses the wiring issue with the kill switch. I sort the kill swtich and Robin and Kelvn tackle the fog light.
Very nervous and the rest are out qualifying! Its a 20 minute session and i need to do at leats 3 laps to be allowed to race (2 would suffice its turns out, as the green flag lap before the start will count as a 3rd as Jamie finds out!).
Can't find the entrance to the track when i go and manage only 5 laps. Come back buzzing from nerves and adrenalin - also from going on track when everyone is up to pace and I'm trying not to ruin anyone elses chances.
Skeggsy wips by me though and I resolve to go as hard as i can and try and keep up with him. His brake problems hinder his outright pace, so i can use his lines and brake points to a certain extent.
Come in a bit gutted, but nearly collapse with shock when I discover that somehow i'm 6th in class! WTF - still i'm not arguing - was hoping not to be starting fromt he back 10 minutes earlier - and more improtantly I'm racing
Afternoon sees us crack open a few in the pub. A great crowd of people and a good laugh - Robin is bullet proof as he somehow continues on till 11pm despite his total lack of sleep - top effort
Sunday - wake up early - am tempted to go and donkey punch the bitch slamming doors in the Travel Shed. Its 7am FFS.
Anyway off to the circuit for about 10.30-ish and waiting around for things to get going. Kelvin sorts the fog light in place properly and Robin fuels the beast amongst a few other tasks.
12.30 we called for the line up. Out on track and I'm thinking about where the bloody track goes - as we line up on the grid for the start notice I've forgotten to arm the fire extinguisher - balls - undo harness quickly and arm it. Smoke is appearing out of the front, and I'm concerned that its the electricals frying - turns out to be water in the radiator from the night before!
We're off - pretty good start and charging along trying to recall the circuit and my braking points. End up in a great scrap with Paul Harding and James in front, and Martin and Hans behind.
We have an awesome scrap, I hold 3rd, 4th and 5th places, and am going as hard as I can. My lines are pretty dire, braking points are poor on some corners, and Im trying to learn the track!
About 2/3 of the way through Randy explodes past me down the back straight, with the usual fireworks display out of the exhaust, and the yellow flag comes out.....followed by the SC board.
As we come through the start the Exige S Safety Car which looked awesome , pulled out in front prompting both Randy and myself to stand on the brakes. I was then forced to watch Paul and James, 2nd and 3rd drive off in to the distance - any chance of a podium finish has just driven off with them
Finished 4th, was all i could do and I'd now tripled the amount of laps i'd done of the circuit!!!!
Martin and I had a good scrap for the remaining laps and but i was gutted our 4 way race was prematurely ended. Awesome racing though in another epic Class A battle - the driving was exceptionally close quarters at time, but everyone demonstrated great sportsmanship, car control and desire. Brilliant stuff!
On to the handicap race. I had a good draw for this in what was only my second handicap race, and thought if i could get the jump on the other 3 cars in my group then I'd have a brilliant chance of making my escape to victory!
Start went well and i kept the foot in to take the lead in our pack of 4 despite spending half of the straight with the car half on the grass! Built a good lead over lap 1 and started to reel in the group ahead. I was really buzzing and managing to skip past a fair few people, including Sarah who'd spun and positioned her car in the middle of brooklands having spun facing the wrong way! A good sign of effort
Remember passing Graeme W and continued my charge, then passing Golding, and I think after that I had a couple of laps on my own.
Passed an Exige in to Becketts, which Robin watched and pro-claimed in his move of the race - which cheered me up afterwards when you read what was about to unfold! The video shows the pace i went by under braking - must have spent too much time drinking with Walshy the night before!!!
All was going really well, Jamie Allason in his second race then spun in front of me at Becketts ( jamie had some fun on that corner!) avoided him and then kept the charge going, having now idea where i was but thinking i must be in with a chance.
In to the last lap and I've got Steve W reeling me in down to Copse, he dives through Jamie goes towards an inside lane, and then Steve pulls in front and nails the brakes - I hit the brakes as hard as i can as i try to miss hitting him - the camera footage doesn't make it seem as close as it felt, and i turn in to copse and spin...F***. Totally my fault - do a 360 and rejoin to see Martin admidst some other cars fly past.......some choice words and foot down. Get past by some group C and B cars down club straight, and make the finish raging with myself, but the second class A across the line and 11th overall. Had i not spun I would have been 4th or 5th - gutted!
What a race though! Magic fun! Will edit the video soon and get it up and hosted.
6 signatures on my license so time for the upgrade so i can race at Spa!
Well done to Jamie in his first weekend - he struggled with set thorugh the weekend, and tried his socks off. More importnantly though he finshed both races and got 2 signatures on his license!
Got back to my parents in the borders by 9.30 last night (in time to say Happy Father day and watch the finale of the La Liga season with my Dad) which inspite of the accident on the M1 was pretty good going, managing about 300 odd miles in 3.5 hours
Thanks again to everyone for a great weekend, and the spirit the series is raced in to date has been awesome, please keep it up!
Hans and Kell, hope the cars are sorted swiftly chaps.
I'm doing the Cadwell Park Exige day next weekend on Sunday and looking forward to having some laps with Gav , as he reckons he knows it pretty well - tremendous! There will be a good SE contingent at that also
Special thanks to -
Robin and Kelvin for sorting the foglight in time to get me out for 5 laps. Not to mention all the other help you gave Neil, Jamie and myself - much appreciated!
Scuffers - for diagnosing the kill switch issue in 3 minutes!
Nicola - for getting Mossy through the gate![/img]
