WankR.........Have you bought it yet...........if not .......gimme the number

Good cars .......make sure service history includes the first pre 1000 mile oil change.......trade wouldn't buy it otherwise

Brakes will not stand track abuse.......remember the black 535 diesel at KH a couple of years back with the mahoosive brake upgrade. (the wheels were also changed to accomodate the big multi pot callipers)

:cheers

Right, having thought long and hard, i'm not going for it.

I dont have the balls for the potential big bills of a car like that, and i'd probably cry every time i filled it up with petrol. Plus, i'd want to sell my 135R first, and i'd need to move quickly with that, so have pulled out.

Obviously the 8K was a trade in price. i.e no hassle sale. He's not keen on selling it privately due to the hassle, but i'm sure if someone offered him 9K, he'd change his mind. I have the number if anybody is interested.

madness!

depending on the spec, its easily a £13k car so you've 'saved' £5k for those nasty bills!

Not much actually goes wrong with them as far as I know either, the engines (if properly serviced) are good for 100k miles plus, and if its a manual, there's no SMG pump to worry about. Still, I have heard of the odd £1,800 Inspection 2 ...

What was the spec?

Because of this thread I have found myself on Autotrader and Pistonheads looking at m3's

Seriously thinking about opting out of my company car scheme and handing back the Focus ST and purchasing one of these

For those in the know - GregR and Shoomer - what sould I be looking out for/ trying to avoid??

Sorry for the thread hijack

yup - you are growing sensible under yoda's guidance

Dont think the M3 is the car for you mate - that M3 CSL Walshy and I were out in at Ales felt SO slow, and huge - you'd be bored in 5 minutes - masks its speed so well, that even with Walshy as the insane pilot it felt slow (might have had something to do with driving the Atom for a week by this stage :damnfunny ).

Absolutely love them though :D
