I totally agree. As I said, I think silver looks bad. Guess what colour my car is  That said once you're in it, you won't care, and I do like the way the silver highlights the curves in the sun, and matches well with the bare alloy interior...

Thanks for the S2 link, wow it just shows what you can get eh. I have to say though that my heart is set on an S1. I feel more of the lotus spirit when I look at an S1 that I remember growing up with Lotus'. It's not completely out the question, but not my prefered path.

I really like the silver on the S1 too. I was hoping to have a look at the silver 111S that was for sale in Leeds but it had gone.

Just about to phone the grey one....gulp.

Looking backwards I think that mega basic, 120bhp S2 I had was probably the best allrounder. I just didnt realise how good it was at the time.

ok update:

The grey S1 (black wheels etc) was a little too expensive for me. The owner was very nice and discussed options but he would only bend a little on price. The car looked genuine, and it had all the covers and roofs and all sorts but I think I'm going to have to start Lotus ownership at a slightly lower price point. I can always add the wheels and shocks etc later as time progresses. It would have been due it's C service within the year and I had to consider this as part of the funds I had available. I've left an open offer with him...nothing more to do.

the search continues... :thumbsup
