Yup, and from my experience, ps3 users can't really play anyone because psn is a bit rubbish
If i'm on send me an invite, I might not be though as I have piles of DIY to do
Didn't even plan to get MW2, but at 26 quid it was a no brainer!

I've now played mv2 on playstation and xbox and can't help but notice that it's a whole lot harder on the xbox. Mv1 was the same, on the xbox I'm lucky to finish it the top half of the scoring bur on the ps3 I'm almost always on the top 3 with a lot better kill/death ratio. Are the xbox players generally that much better? Using the same broadband connection and tv so no differences in setup
Anyone suggest another reason why ps3 players are pants?
Mikie I'd agree the game does have a slight feel of cod3 which IMHO is no bad thing, being slightly faster paced than the later games

I'd put it down to more 'hardcore' gamers being more xbox live oriented than psn, which i'd imagine would be down to xbox live being FAR superior to Playstation Network, or certainly in my experience / in it's layout and function - cross game chat anyone...?
Could also be since the 360 isn't wireless and more ppl playing on a wire I suppose? My 360 certainly suffered a little when I switched to wireless (though the router is actually closer to the 360 than the old wired one was

)
In fact generally there are more 360s than ps3s out there so there will be more crap players, and more good players.
Odd that it has a COD3 feel about it since it was made by entirely different developers and 3 was generally accepted to be way inferior to 4 though I suppose it depends on how you mean. I'm yet to get a chance to play and didn't buy 3 as I knew 4 would be better and had plenty more to be playing (as I do now tbh!)

Chris I really enjoyed cod3 and felt the gamepkay was slightly quicker paced than 4 which for me is I good thing, I'm a big halo fan and felt some of the cod games have been sluggish

I'm a bit stuck in the middle (unless it's the S.E MW2 board where i'm at the bottom, mainly due to Ross(?) inviting me to the game when I was setting up the brightness setting and having never played the game

)
I played a LOT of Halo 2 on live, but barely any 3. I've never completed the campaign in any Halo titles and can't really get too into them. In uni we played Quake 3 every day, and that was great, but I think i'd have preferred the slower pace of something like Enemy Territory. Maybe i'm a slow paced kinda guy with fps. Maybe I should stick with racers

Well that is me finished the campaign, the best single player campaign I have ever played out of all games, that dates as far back as sega mega drive, and includes the likings of DOOM!
Was brilliant, also 2 missions from finishing Special Ops, so will have my 1000 gamerscore on it by tomorrow probably.
Still need to play online was always really good at COD 4 so hopefully can keep that up.
What you all thinking of it so far?

There are alot of xbox owners who do nothing but play games all day in their pants, unfortunatly this also makes them better.

Only up to the airport mission myself. Plays well and is good fun. Looks great too
BUT I think it's lacking the realism of COD4:MW
The settings so far feel staged and it feels too much like playing a far fetched James Bond film tie in rather than a realistic portrayal of modern warfare.
The climbing with ice picks bit was clunky and completely pointless, i'm not playing it on a Wii!!
Out of interest, did you play any of the Half Life games / The Orange Box ?
