I am happy with that if the majority are.

I think that's a really decent attempt, actually. I'm good with that.

Agree.
Tut, still to add to the fund, can I bung you cash or at KH?
Re: Brian Jamieson - Fund
Yes that's fine Kenny, the fund is healthy enough to give us plenty of options.

Yes, a fine one-liner that.

Re: Brian Jamieson - Fund
I am just about to order the plaque and cup for Brian's Memorial. We have selected the engraving on the plaque, but I did not want to just put my own choice on the cup, so quite happy for it to be changed or amended. I thought:-
"In Memory of a Friend, Gentleman, and True Scottish Eliser.
Brian Jamieson 1950 - 2010."

Re: Brian Jamieson - Fund
The Cup is now ordered, and as usual an S_E'r steps up. Barrie(xtreme) has ordered the one that I had picked out online through his Company, and with his donation and VAT off it is only half price.

Re: Brian Jamieson - Fund
Had to go ahead with this straight away timewise, so hope nobody minds. After further consideration, I thought that it may be better if the main cup was left on display after being awarded to the winner, probably at KH where it would be seen on a daily basis. I have therefore ordered three more identical quality cups through Barrie, at 7" high. The four together barely made a dent in the fund.
The Memorial Cup on one side of the plinth and on one of the smaller ones will be engraved "Best Dressed Driver SIDC 27th March 2010" and the name will be added later. The winner will then keep the smaller cup for themselves.
Let me know if you have different opinions, I am not sensitive.

Re: Brian Jamieson - Fund
do we need to contribure to the plaque on the bench? If we get input, the one on the bench should perhaps be a little more formal - something along the lines of,
"in memory of Brian Jamieson, a true Gentleman Racer."
"in memory of Brian Jamieson, a true Gentleman Racer."

Re: Brian Jamieson - Fund
If you look on page 3 Greg you will see Rusty put something very similar. Yours is an expansion on it, and as the plaque will be long enough for two lines, I think that would be ideal.
Just spoke to Ian again, and he will be happy to put the Cup on display in the Cafe, and also they will look after the bench and weatherproof and stain it annually. No need for any extra contributions for the bench or plaque, the fund is very healthy even after the cups have been bought.
