Agreed, total joke.
I missed that part, what were his arguments? Wasn't keen on the guild hall at all this week.

The only reason all farm buildings were black as farmers used to get coal tar for free from the gasworks (Heat coal you get coal gas/town gas, coke and coal tar) so that was around 150 years ago, before that they painted the buildings with whatever they wanted.

The council says it's traditional but basically it was a bad habit that they have perpetuated.
As a result it ended up (Like they all would) looking like a giant black shed and, as it's black it'll remain like that for years.

My old man used to get sent down to the Gas works as a kid to get that for painting the fence, he's only 67 (but it was free)

Weekly bump...

Kevin McCloud oversees the efforts of Jonathan Belsey, a scientist who is trying to build a carbon-neutral home for his partner and their four daughters. The design and building is risky because it features untested technology and an uncompromising choice of materials, and he soon finds the costs spiralling out of control.

It was a good idea badly executed, it needed more money spent on it, maybe in 10th years time they will have fixed it

Nearly twice over budget, looks like an industrial unit on the outside and a prison on the inside with no privacy at all, a vain eco smug concrete bunker with barely functioning photovoltaics and a windymill that rarely turns and when it does it uses more electricity than it generates, so not eco friendly at all and come winter those concrete blocks certainly wont be retaining heat longer than a few hours and it will be fckin freezing. Awesome. What a cocktard.

Nice big garage though.

it had a nice view from the small window in the utility room.

Nice enough lay out, but for 500,000 I would want something a bit better then that Unit.
