More than welcome! But please sign up by the end of the week!
If engineering is what you want to do then we have loads of jobs in loads of places. Not good for home stability though. I would either be looking at joining as an Aircraft Tech Mechanical or as General Tech Workshops. The ATMs work on the aircraft but the Gen Tech WS boys are extrememly well trained in lots of things, MIG/TIG/gas welding, sheet metalwork, machining, CNC, etc.
The money is OK and the prospects are good. I would advise against being an Engineering Officer (Like me!) as the recruiter will show you lots of pics of officers looking at aircraft and not the mountain of paperwork....
But beware as you will see, a passion turned into a job is a sad thing. We all treat aircraft with contempt as they are dirty, smelly and noisy things that spoil youur day, where to everyone else they are a fine example of machinery at work.
