Lots of options out there so you'll have a bit of time trawling through I think. How do they cope with mileage? Fair amount of weight for suspension brakes etc
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3044084.htm almost shed cost

That's a straight six

...and having driven both s6 & v8 XJRs, I can assure you the V8 is a far far nicer thing to punt along
My personal favourite is the XJR100

Ahhh sorry I thought all XJR's were V8, instead of a lowly supercharged 6.

The 6's & 8's can be identified by the bumper; the 6's had a chrome cap on the bumpers that covered the full bumper, the 8's chrome caps did not cover the centre of the bumper.
Now where did I leave my anorak.........

There is a cracking looking blue xjr v8 for sale in the p and j today.
1998, 69k miles and its £4k. Its pic shows a single number three letter plate so perhaps a long term owner car with some money........ Although thats making assumptions.

You speak the truth Mr S
The main giveaway is the wheels design, the 6 had 17" brushed chrome whereas the 8 started with the 18" 5 spoke "penta", followed by a very large minilite style, but then they could be upgraded to the split-rim speedlines. And then the XJR100 came with 19" multispokes. But then wheels are easy to change.
Dom, your anorak is on the hook next to mine my friend
