Good inspiration, I just want to own a 355 for a year, if I can manage that on a few k I'd be happy. Will be watching the blog to see how you get on but sure it's been worth it so far.

I had set a similiar goal for owning a 355 by the time I was 30... it was looking unlikely but an opportuinity arose and I just went for it. I'm not well known for being sensible however :)

When I had the 993 as my daily driver everyone thought I was a bit crazy and thought I would be bankrupt at the end of it. In the end it cost me maybe a £2k or £3k over the two years and a bit years that I owned it but I traded it for £6k more than I paid for it! I may have about broken even if you take into a ccount the discount/margin the dealer accounted for.

I've owned the 355 for nearly a year and apart from a suspension warning light scare (cost £30 to fix, with the magic of the internet) the only expense has been a cambelt service which I had done at MP Supercars (ex Graypaul guys) it cost me £1300. That's it so far. It's easily the best car I've ever owned and never dissapoints. It may not have the 500bhp of today's supercars but It feels fast, sounds fast and looks fast. It's plenty for me.

Too many people worry about not being able to afford to but I think the real worry should be can you afford not to?

Do it Mark! :)

p.s. I'll be buying a copy of F1 2011, that's one gauranteed sale so you have no excuse!
