Good for you mate. Im lucky Im built like a racing snake. Decided to get fit this year by training for next years Edinburgh Marathon. The ciggies are going to have to go though Im hitting a brick wall after about ten miles no matter how hard I train.

good job Kenny - keep it up.
Another tip is to drink 0.5l/a glass water before meals - reduces appetite. Also about 70% of people are constantly dehydrated, and this can increase your food intake.
Set yourself goals and challenges - if you can turn this in to the equivalent of a few laps at Knockhill, something i've never seen you struggle for will power to do, then you are laughing.
First month will be the hardest, but track your success - it will motivate you further.
Which reminds me I'm meant to be running tonight.............
Best of luck
As for Mikeys marathon training - 10 miles is easy - wait till you hit the proper wall post 20!!

Did a half once no problem not ever gone as far as twenty. Used to be that my muscles got sore after a long distance but now i simply stop being able to breath.

Best of luck with it Kenwood.
I used to be significantly heavier than I am now. Started hill walking for the Caley Challenge (54 miles in 24 hours) and then moved onto running. 5k, 10k, half and then a whole. Long distance running isnt that hard you just need to be stuborn. 4.10.37 to beat!
As per what the others said dont take on too much too fast.

I'll do my best to motivate you using my finest Gunnery Sergeant Hartman impersonations and refer to you only as Gomer Pyles from now on if you like?

You should join us for our Weds cycles....canal paths and country roads and crap chat
I'm planning on a Sunday cycle with Dom too if you're about. I'll keep you company whilst Dom shoots off into the distance!!
Oh and I hate busy road cycling too... But the routes we use are so quiet you end up thinking the roads we use are private and just for us!!

Good luck Kenny.
Cut on your junk food and do regular workouts. I do about 7 hours of workouts a week and keep the fat % relatively low (about 7%).

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
