I did feel bad for what my girlfriend did when I found out, now I'm quite glad you were the victim. I didn't even realise you were the same person when I told you to watch the door. What a funny coincidence. I apologised for that on behalf of Atiqah, the amount of mud and rocks under my car and in my tyres would have done it anyway so maybe use a little bit of your brain and back up. Though judging by your comment to Robin I obviously expect too much when asking that.mikeyb13 wrote:Cheers. Most unexpected and personal response considering our recent history and the fact that despite several requests I never publicly said that it was from n1 that the stones where thrown at my car at the amp3 day.
Ill try and avoid all the crap you throw out of your roof that wrecked the front/side and windscreen of my car next time Im behind you at knockhill.
Will miss all your driving advice though. Keep up the old sage lectures and quality driving.
Your attitude in that thread was disgusting. Robin asked a simple question and you flew off like some pompous ar$ehole. SE does not need any more like you so very glad indeed that you have chosen to leave.
Also please do feel free to pull up a single thread showing me giving any driving advise. This is Tut's son, not Tut, you TIT!![]()

My thoughts exactly. Pm's like this wont help diffuse the situation. Despite whats written on the forum.

Amirite, or am I missing some key point that makes sense of all his 'banter'?
Reminds me of that wee retard at school who had to think he knew everyone and have a smug line for everything - usually had weaseled his way in with some mental big lad so he didn't just go around getting the sh*t kicked out of him. The sort of twat that just tries to wear away at you and get a reaction for the sake of it. Gotta be some issue there to crave attention like that...
Meh, maybe it's just an over reaction on my part - I've never liked the guy from the minute he walked into SE and fcuk only knows why he keeps coming back....
The fact is this place has become a joke with its horrible back stabbing comments. Fair amount of bullying too.
Colin the plumber being one. Yes he drives like a fool on the road but those that abused him were guilty of doing the same.
Not in the gang you can fcuk off. Hidden sales pitches....if someone hasn't done a racing series, they're useless on track.
Of course there's some good guys on here....but some need to "check yourself before you wreck yourself."

Wondered when you'd pull that out.
A comment made on a private forum, over a year ago, unrelated to SE other than the original 4 members came from there, in the heat of an ongoing situation.
For general info, there's been one thread talking about SE on that forum which was stopped pretty quickly.
Happy to step down from here in any official capacity if the concensus feel that this one-off comment posted elsewhere about a member warrants it. That make you happy boy Gareth?
Just let me know peeps.
I'll step back for now and let the other mods deal with this and, if necessary, make a call on me. Happy to comply with any consensus.

I think that there are quite a few of us on here Gareth that have never done a race series that are not considered useless on track.

Re: Ambulances blocking the road
Craig, thanks for the answer, most informative.
BTW, despite the rant I have no problem with the driver of the ambulance who no doubt has a tough job.
The main issue for me is knowing how to handle such a situation in the future. Now I know - if possible take another route, else wait for at least 15 minutes and then if it isn't obviously an emergency see if it's possible to find the ambulance driver and ask whether they can move the ambulance.
Apologies to anyone I have offended - was not intentional.
Mikey, whatever other issues there may be with respect to matters past I hope this issue doesn't cause you to leave SE.
Everyone of us has posted something they regret at some point or another in their lives. The question is how you deal with it afterwards. Those with integrity will make good by apologizing for their mistakes.
Cheers,
Robin

I think that you are getting your posts and drivers mixed up mikey, I never made any comment regarding yourself and N1 at KH, I did not even find out about it until sometime later as I was driving N3. I even pm'd you after N1 was written off as you seemed to think that you had made an inappropriate post, which I assured you that you had not.mikeyb13 wrote:Cheers. However I did take offence at your comment aimed at Katie of "truely disgusting...", as many others did, it was stupid and offensive, and knowing Robin he will ignore it. If it was said before you put thought into it, then I suggest that you apologise to him.

I'd like to comment on that. There was ONE thread, back in the old days of sebikers, that had a bit of rant at one or two characters on se. You and gareth were part of that. People had a rant, and it was mentioned that sebikers wasnt the place to have a go at people on se who couldnt reply, and the thread was abandoned. I chose not to delete it, as we had nothing to hide. Unfortunatly gareth has since joined sebikers, and obviously took offence to the comments (even though at least half of them were true

If you want to have a conversation about any comments made towards you, i'll happily give you a call.
Re: Ambulances blocking the road
Wow, for a minute there I thought I'd logged into SELOC
My son fainted at the November remembrance day parade last year cracking his chin on the ground. The emergency response car turned up in minutes and they then called the ambulance as his blood pressure was very low and his heart rate had slowed and neither were coming back up quickly enough. The Ambulance treated it as an emergency (all blues and twos) and blocked the main road, causing chaos in the town, until they had assessed the situation and only then did they move the ambulance (onto the pavement and blocking it) All in all it was no more than five minutes or so before they moved it right enough. That said, I can't see that blocking the entrance to a dead end street is best practice just in case there's another emergency.
The interesting ending to the chin cracking the floor story above is that I was in the 'stands out like a sore thumb green Elise' and parked where the parade started/ended. The paramedics said they wanted to take Ben to hospital to monitor him properly as they felt he would most likely faint again so they said to follow them. I had to run across town to get the car and then catch them up on the A1. The problem was that my car was now blocked in by the returning remembrance day parade. So there's me edging out the really really green sports car with slightly burbly exhaust into the flow of the parade to try and catch the ambulance. Cue mountains of abuse from all the spectators and I had the roof off too so wasn't as if I could hide! I had to stop the car and stand up inside it and 'present' to everyone in my thick Scottish accent to a very English audience that I was the dad of the little boy that fell his full length smashing his chin on the kerb and they had whisked him off to hosipital and I was a bit keen to catch them up.
