It's a mere 3mpg sacrifice, 55.4 v 52.3 so definitely worth it. Huge amounts of grip in all weather, ideal for Scotland and a positive boost if your towing.

I like that V40, bit different and would certainly suit HWMBO. Will investigate further with Mr. M :)

We had. V60 hire car in the Dolomites for our last skiing trip and we were very impressed. Very comfy and handled well.

Send that man to specsavers.... :chainsaw :flame

That said, its not the ugliest car BMW make (has anyone seen the 2 series boke mobile?), actually quite pretty but its just WRONG and... they have made a 2 door 3 series under the name of a 4 series and now they are making a 4 door version of the 2 door car that is replacing the 4 door car that was a 2 door in the 1st place.

Mike - I agree with Sanjoy on this one for sure.
Almost agree with you about the 4door of a 2 door of a 4 door thing but.... Its actually a niche that makes sense.
I want 4 doors but a saloon isn't flexible enough. I'd love an estate but the wife doesn't like them so the pretty coupe with a hatch back and rear doors is perfect. I can't be the only one... and look at it, it's lovely!

Dumb question, can you tow with the RS Audis? I ask as I am sure I was told the you can get a bar on the 63s.

I would say yes for sure Mike,

The courtesy car I had may or may not have been involved in harsh environment 4wd testing, in the woods near my house, its only limiting factor (I would imagine if you were to ever test it  ) is the ground clearance, other wise (I would think) it is (sorry - could) be very good in a really really muddy, rough, slippy, p1ssing of rain woods, in what can only be described (in my mind) as a Forrest rally stage.

The car had all the grip of the good Quattro systems, but with all the balance of a BMW and none of the Audi trademark understeer.
