I'd suggest £500 would be cheap for a half car wrap - especially one as curvy as an S1? Maybe not- not looked into it in any detail, but any time I've seen wraps being done, it's been 4 figure sums for whole car wraps.
I was quoted £540 for stripes only in my exige. I reckon a wrap would have been at least double that!

Or could man up and just go for paint, can't be much more than a wrap and would probably look better.

That and wraps look sh*t in comparison to paint, I've yet to see a wrap that has decent gloss and id not all orange peely.... the benefit tp wrapping the bottom half as proposed is you can remove if and it will protect the paint underneath so for a short term change of image type of thing...
