Spotted this on LEGS:
Posted Tuesday at 10:43
"Just spoke to them (GRANGE) - Lotus is part of the Rolls Royce/Aston deal
"

"Just spoke to Laura - thy are currently in the process of getting everything back up and running so will take a while to get the stock back etc but things are on the up."
Great to hear the staff have been transferred and the marque confirmed as part of the deal with Grange

excellent news and better that Lotus is with a specialist car dealer than a car supermarket

guess the showroom might move now so its not embedded in with Macklins brands.

My understanding is that the Lotus showroom will move over beside Aston Martin

Just reading that the Lotus side of the deal didn’t go through and they aren’t included in the sale to Grange. Desperately disappointing news for staff and customers.

Cycled past yesterday, the old Lotus showroom is all branded as Kia.
I only saw one Lotus parked in an otherwise empty bit of showroom behind AM.

Oh dear, I wonder if the lack of its own space contributed to this decision. Real shame!

I suspect the lack of anybody buying them in volume is the key factor. I don't know how many new Lotus cars Leven (and Murray Motors) sold before but I would be amazed if more than a dozen a year. Factor into that older cars heading off to specialists/non-franchised service and there isn't a lot left.
We love the cars, but we don't actually buy new ones (very often).

really surprised by that. I guess servicing is a large percentage of the cash flow. Sign of the times in the world of cars sales I guess. If the rumours regarding the Grange deal are true its pretty disappointing to be honest for everyone.
