Curious as to what these are in your view Mike, and if they align with the others which are on my shortlist
Depends your budget and balancing new versus used but Cayman S, TTRS, R8 (V8's a plenty sub 50k) 911, V8 vantage, Alfa 4c, Alpine A110, MX5, Ariel Atom all for the price of an Exige or less.

I find the V6 also attracts a lot of driver hate on the road, flashing lights, horns etc, never really get that in the Elise.
Again, I am sure a more modern car would perhaps be better, but they will never be an S1 Elise.
