It's a bit different, and it's amusing to drive in its own way - Had to go to NE Norfolk to get it (there's only 6 on the road in the UK), but it held a GPS verified 78 leptons on the motorway, and returned 45 mpg over 420 miles.

Plan is to get it reliable (needs a good servicing & new tyres - Date code on the ones fitted is Feb 1988!), and take it to Ireland - As it's over 30, road tax is £40 PA and it benefits from fixed rate import duty of £160, as opposed to the £3k my Mini would attract to register it there.

That looks more like it!

That is some old tyres!

Spotted an early 80's basic Austin Metro this morning - looked tiny among the traffic.

At the opposite end of the 70/80s spectrum to an LNA :) , the gaffer/guv'nor was in Gullane yesterday. Not my cuppa, but was immaculate.

If that is the 650S there was one the same colour at the V8 breakfast a few weeks ago, and I thought the colour did nothing for it.

Love these. The ultimate waft machine... 8)

Use to drive a silver spirit from time to time. Bags of character and class - woeful handling (from a driving enthusiast POV). They are famed as being so quiet at 70mph that you can hear the clock ticking.... well it's true that you can hear the clock ticking at 70 mph, but I suspect it's because the clock ticks so very loudly!

Yesterday was quite an usual day yes !

Pulled in behind him on the lanark road and expected him to give it the beans onto the m74 but he didn't. Quite disappointing.

Was surprised I could park it in Edinburgh today without receiving a ticket...

Marcos Mantis between Dundee and Perth on Saturday enroute to SIDC.
Had no idea what it was from the back... nice looking thing driven by someone who looked a lot like chap with the 340R that needs painted!

Saw a Porsche 356 Coupe in Stockbridge on Saturday. Think it may have been the real thing looking at the number plate (also don't think anyone does coupe replica's just speedster).

Although always fancied the speedster, have a poster at the back of the garage with one with the modern equivalent in front (can just make it out in the background)
