Hi Robin, welcome to S_E, a Forum like no other.
As I suggested, give me a call when you are next up here, sure that some of the others would be interested in getting a run together. If you speak to me very nicely, then you can check N3 out as long as you treat her gently, whilst I see if the MP-4 drives as good as it looks.

Reference Dom's remark, this is not a post that I enjoy making after a great weekend.
I had booked the Invercauld Arms for 68 people, and that was the number still on the Database on Sunday and the final number that I gave to the restaurant. Mike had advised me to take payment up front, but there has never been a problem in the previous five years, there was the odd breakdown but I could absorb that. This time 48 people turned up, which means that I now have to pay the Hotel for the 20 that did not turn up at £10.50 each equalling £210.
I have included a list of those that did not turn up, I know there were a lot of hangovers, but nobody informed me that they would not be going, so I could not have cancelled their place anyway on the day.
I hope it is not too much to ask those that were obligated if they could pay the relevant amounts into Mikes account as you did for the other payments, details are on page one of TT. The Alexandre Hotel were very good in agreeing to not charge those that did not book in, as were the village hotels, but they were entitled to for loss of business as a result. However there is no way that can happen with as many as 20.
I think I have this correct, if there is anybody on there that should not be please let me know, likewise anybody that I have missed out. You can check the database yourself at:-

Probably not Campbell. We only needed 1 daily-driver back in those days, but we need 2 commuting cars now, so no place in the fleet for a 12-year-old toy. I'm too old and broken to use an S1 as a daily driver, and for sunny weekends the bike will always win over an Elise.
Currently looking to replace the 530d with something more fun... 350z, MR2, Z4... but it will need to be more usable than an S1. I like the MR2 roadster, if I can figure out how to replace the seat with a lower one.

The Z4 does nothing for me. However the MR2 is considered a pretty decent car, I think EVO did a fair writeup of the final version a year or two back (perhaps a Buying Guide?).
A 350z (roadster available?) could be a hoot, albeit thirsty. More luggage space. Mind you Victoria packs light so maybe not important!
I was only reflecting on the situation when you said you missed the S1...perhaps you have grown out of these silly sports cars (mentally...not physically...I realise your back makes the fosberry flop into an S1 seat a bit impractical now...however have you written off S2s?)

Europa - I can confirm that it is bad back friendly
I actually find Probax seats and Lotus driving position is easy on the back so as long as getting into any Elise variant is do-able they work better than more normal car set-ups for me.

Is it not Graeme's being 8'4" that's the issue with the Elise chassis?
