Is it true you get some visual damage in the single player bit of this game?

no damage on the cars in single player. always been like this with the gt games, because the manufacturers dont want to see their cars all smashed up

It may be the full game then, i'm sure I read somewhere that GT would have visual damage (probably just a load of balls from the pistonhead's computer game forum though).

No damage in GT yet in Forza you can smash them up all you like! I guess this is just down to licensing politics between car manufacturers and Sony/Microsoft?

Supposedly after you complete group A, that unlocks a pile of tuning options.

Pish.

It's got a huge amount of content for a budget game - the online racing makes it virtually open-ended. I'd like to see a few more tracks, but the ones that are in there are so good I've not really noticed the limitation yet. I've got bored of COD4 already - can't see that happening with GT5 for a long time...

Anyone notice the odd air vents in the S1s interior?

There's what appears to be Metro air vents where the light switch and the heating controls are supposed to be on the dash.

I know that some of the far east S1s had Air-Con fitted are they part of that?

Yup - were aircon spec I believe. We never saw them in the UK.

dont get me wrong the driving simulation in the game is fantastic , but I am just kinda gutted you cant tune the cars from the start.
Can anyone confirm that you can tune them after completing class A ?.....when you already have all the best cars no doubt, bit pointless.

What is the update for at the start does this enable online mode? I cant seem to download at the moment.

Ps. cant wait for cod4 maps in general , wasnt meaning because I think gt5 is sh*t or anything.

also .....no exige , not impressed :x

j33ama, yes you need the update to go online. Bit of a bummer really, because everyone needs to download it so it's been pretty hard to do successfully. Try at a silly late hour. I tried loads of times during the day on Friday and it wasn't until 23:30 that it worked.

However, the online races are pretty good. You really want to complete Class A though otherwise you are restricted to what tracks you can race online also.

As far as tuning after Class A... I don't think you can tune... I think it's just that you can buy 'pre-tuned' cars for those challenges. I may be talking psih though, as I still need to get myself a Fezza before I can find out.

With regards to the content, you need to bare in mind that this is just the 'prologue'. GT4 prologue on the PS2 was fairly thin on content also when it came out. It cost the same as what GT5 prologue is costing nows... and didn't have online... but the GT4 full game rocked when it was released, so GT5 will hopefully be the dogs.

Personally, I'd rather be playing GT5 Prologue online than messing around on Burnout Paradise City... so it's £20 well spent as far as I'm concerned.
