Yep, Notts West, Phoenix Centre, close to M1.

No idea re: Scotty's race timings though.

Campbell,

Thats me booked into the Premier Inn on the Saturday night, so will definately be up for the curry!

I am driving down from Scotland early am on the Saturday if anybody wants a lift, or stuff taken down. Unfortunately cant offer the same on the return, as I am staying down on business for most of the following week, hence it will be in the X5 and not the 340!

Looking forward to the show, and seeing Scottys track debut!!

Andy,

Take a scan back up the thread a couple of pages back and you'll find a link straight to the Premier Inn in question.

Probably faster to just book online ;-)

Andy,

Reckon I will take a day off and myself and brother, Alistair, will wind our way down the scenic route in the morning, maybe catch closing stages of trackday.

Worst case, we'll avoid booking a day's holiday and just head off mid/late afternoon with a view to reaching the hotel and Brewer's Fayre restaurant in time for about 8pm (prob means a 3pm start, at a guess, for the "direct" route).

Previous tradition has dictated meeting at Dobbie's Garden Centre just off the Edin City Bypass A720 near A7 junction at Sheriffhall r/bout. But not firmed up any further plans owing to low level of interest.

Want to meet up?

For ref, the "scenic route" needs approx 90 mins extra but not all that many extra miles.

However it takes in A701 to Moffat, then backroads from M6 near either Penrith or Sedbergh through Hawes, south over the Dales to Ilkley and eventually A1M from which it's m-way hack the rest of the way.

Offers an excuse to stop at the Wensleydale Creamery for some Wallace & Gromit themed cheese souvenirs, always a hit with my lot ;-) Decent bar lunches to be had around Hawes too.

Good blurb.

Truly shaping up to be one of the best Donnies ever, yet our own entry list is smaller than even the first time SE were represented, back in 2000! Well at least there will be time to chat to everybody this year :-)

Really looking forward to it now. The sun is shining etc.

Campbell,

Yes, A701 know it quite well. Drove down it a few times, get to the wee roundabout at the bottom A/M74, turn around and same way back :D
Going up the road is better !

Sort out exact timings in due course.

Andy
