Can we not all go back to sorting out track days, camping trips and generally having a laugh. All this serious talk is getting a bit boring.

I take it we all missed Simon's thread "things you wish you'd never posted" that also quoted the above and which, judging by it's disappearance and the replys I and a few others left, he wishes he'd never posted.

I'd certainly never head of anything in this manner to do with AR before this, but as others have said, therre's a lot that goes untyped. And things that should stay untyped.
It was Derek I think, not Simon.
I didn't see what was there originally but wondered if it had something to do with this thread given one of the responses.

No, it was Simon. Guilty as charged.
Removed I believe as he couldn't be arsed with bandwagon stuff.
Occasionally individuals just have to man up and accept that they have made an error of judgement.. it happens.. I would like to thank him for taking the thread off. As I have said before, very emotive subject and some of the way things were worded may not have been the politest way of doing things. Sorry Simon if you felt my response harsh. Never did get a chance to read your PM.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

As Tut has already pointed out. Two fellas camping is a touch Brokeback Mountain, so maybe get a few others involved.

I could go a December Camping, with a good fire and bottle of malt...

I wasn't going to comment on this, however I'm very saddened by this news on SE, not for the content, just that its here...however, who am I to condem..... however Saddly I'm going through my own odd Ground Hog Day ... since I become a grampa and the older I become I'm becoming assperated and affected by the spontanious very public another "Latin suicidium, from sui caedere, "to kill oneself". that surounds me and affects me .....

I went to a local burger bar this morning to hear the explanations of add hoc experts in the sad demise of Gary Speed Manager of the Welsh football team. I listened for a while to pure wild speculation then offered my veiw....

Saddly I have been through the very low depths of despair on the sudden demise of a loved one .........my brother saddly took his own life by means of a shotgun at the age of 19  I feel so dreadfully sad for the family, his wife , his children and his frends  I can't explain the pain they will go through. and the lack of explonation and the lack of answers ....

There are difficult things in life to deal with... I'm sure A will deal with them in his own way where he is, personally I wish him recovery, in what ever way that takes . As you only get one chance..

Noops - sorry to hear about your loss.

I've noted why I posted this up. I was the one that introduced Ally to the SE massive and we were good friends for a while when I originally met him. Needless to say this was hard for me to post, however after trying for weeks to track him down and finally finding out the truth as to where he disappeared to I thought the only thing to do was advise people by posting my findings.

I too hope he recovers however again, if I had a family, this is information I would want to know so that I could make an informed decision about future dealings with him. This was never intended to be a slaughter Ally post, it was simply an information post and a very important one at that in my opinion.

:thumbsup

There is no need to ask of my loss its not the reason post...but thankyou anyway :thumbsup I''ve noted why you posted this and thankyou for doing so...I did the same to say to others that, we all have history some great some not so. We are all in this community of SE sometimes together sometimes apart , but here none the less..HERE. :thumbsup its up to us all to act as we we shall be found....

Personaly I have found this thread rather refreshing....we are not all ready to flog and shoot ....and I'm usually the first :|

Testing times are ahead for all but, just now and again give a little and expect the most .. I''ve found on SE we on the whole are mostly respective of sircomstance

Appologies for the spelling , I'm having a bad head night :thumbsup

Sorry, off topic but, reading this and the "Clarkson" thread, I can't help thinking about Tim Wilkinson ... may he rest in peace. :(

An absolutely top bloke who is still sadly missed.

Cheers,

Me also, though there is a difference as Tim had a reason that we knew about.
