Haven't posted on this thread yet, but very partial to a nice bottle of vino. A meaty merlot or crisp South African whites tend to be the favourites. Don't drink a lot of Rioja's but last weekend opened a bottle of Berberana 2007. Fantastic. Don't know if we bought it or were given it over the festive period but a quick google seems to identify it as a little gem and occassionaly available in Tesco for £7 or so when on offer compared to the usual £12 or £13.

My current favourite? Logan's 2008 Shiraz, only available from Lockett Bros in North Berwick I am told. Worth a lot more than the £15 or so a bottle.

Agreed on the Logan range. We visited the Logan winery in oz in February and had a glass and a blather with pete and Hannah Logan thanks to an introduction by Chris Lockett. Really lovely folk and a superb cellar door as they call it over there. Didn't bring any home cause locketts carry most of their stuff.
Can also highly recommend their fizz

Lovely copper colour cause the juice is left sitting with the grapes for just a tiny bit longer and excellent value at under £20.
