I have not slept properly for two years, I'm going slightly mad  never had a baby monitor, isofix something or other. All these things seem very important before baby arrives , you will not care six months from now you will just want to sleeeeeeeeeeeeep. It's great really congrats.

Ah, pram bought (well order placed and deposit paid).. a bit like buying a car!... although I have spent considerably less on some of the cars I have bought!

A big thanks to Shug for his advice, and a big thanks to all the others on here too. Shug did lots of research into the whole thing, and told me his findings, so I trusted his conclusion and we went and bought what he said :D ....well, we did some of our own research too, and with the valuable input from you lot, we bought a Jane Trider Extreme; http://www.johnstonprams.co.uk/dynamic/ ... 327X-F-R37 I know I said I did not want to spend a fortune etc etc, but this seemed to fit our needs well, and seems to be good quality. Also managed to negotiate a reasonable discount on it - thankfully. We ordered it in azure blue, and it has an aluminium chassis, so whats not to like 8)

We're about to gumtree our Bugaboo Chameleon. Good thing but taking up too much space.

Hmmm... maybe we should start a "baby stuff classifieds" section on here! I might post up a list of other stuff we need and see if anyone has pre-owned stuff for sale!

So, next question. Sun protection in the car... solar reflective window tints Vs Window blinds - which to go for? I am erring towards the blinds, but vehicle specific ones seem quite pricey, (£150 for rear side windows and boot window for the focus - although around £70 gets rear side window blinds only). I'm not sure about the generic oval blinds that you get from halfords as they don't have the same window fit and coverage as bespoke. Are they okay to use??

Cheers

I suppose i should announce our interest in this thread although some already know. Life changes beyond recognition at the start of June.

Dom, what about a sheet of paper cut to the exact size of the window and taped on. Just saved you £149.10. Invoice for commission to follow.
