Well, when I bought the Ultima, the guy I got it from said that "all the talent required to drive it quickly was in my right foot" which I translated into, "coming backwards to a hedge near you, soon!"
Anyhow, he was a high performance test driver at Millbrook and I ran out of talent on a bend. Thankfully there was no hedge. Unfortunately there was a bit of a verge... and a wall, but at least I wasn't going backwards (all the time)
So, over the last 6 months the Ultima factory has done some work on my car and I took the opportunity to upgrade some of the bits to the new Evolution spec. That included new double adjustable dampers, Evo extended wishbones and all the suspension gubbins that goes with that, new radiators and fans fans, race battery, Evo style carbon splitter, carbon light units and the new Evo LED lights, new tyres, new angled steering arms, new quicker ratio steering rack, different track rods, new wheel offsets, lighter forged wheels reducing unsprung weight, new damper design, stiffer front chassis, new front clam, new side windows and vents, full paint job, full frontal and flanks Paintshield self healing paint protection film, factory geo setup, road test and service, aircon service, and probably lots of other bits I can't remember. Before my excursion, I also changed the baffled silencers for smaller, lighter, unbaffled ones for more loudness and longer flames ...
You get a better appreciation of how low it is compared to these two
The Ultima Factory were great in dealing with the Insurance company, who were also great. I am also in touch with 4 other owners here in Scotland (I think there are a few more as well) and there is a bit of a "community" thing. I might just stick to straight lines for a while tho
