....unbelievable.

Instead of taking my word, she took it upon herself to call Mecca (Dundee Centre) and sternly voice her disgust that she should get a ticket, being a customer....and she got off with it - so in her mind she's not breaking the law!

I really do give up

Plus side, it led to some fruity debates later in the evening on politics and independence (sigh)...her conclusion was that we have strongly differing opinions on certain things......oh and that I am an annoying a$$hole at times. She knows me soooooo well :D :damnfunny
...and just by coincidence....I'm home for 6 days, and I happened to intercept another letter from the parking bandits.

Just gonna chuck it out, for fear of her paying the £100 "fine".....am I bad? :blackeye :damnfunny

Mrs Jason just received another from the same lot. A sinister-toned debt collection threat this time. It's making her very uncomfortable. Sadly the bullying obviously works on some or they wouldn't send them.

Stay strong and keep ignoring them.

You can tell Mrs Jason that some dude off the tinterweb said ignore it, and all will be fine. That should comfort her.

Start sending them junk mail :-) I am sure they need a stair lift, double glazing, etc.

LOL - I quite like the junk mail forwarding strategy :D

She's fully briefed on ignoring. When you see the letters, it does give you an insight into how their methods obviously work with many recipients.

I'm going the interception route. Only worry is when mail comes and I'm offshore or away with work....

Just call the post office and redirect all your mail to a PO box - tell them you've moved - then empty the PO box when you come back on shore :-)

She'd certainly be suspicious why there was no mail for weeks on end :damnfunny

I saw that too. I guess though that it is worthwhile to chase a repeat offender with multiple parking fines totalling thousands. Would they go after a single ticket with a value of maybe £80 ?

I think Mr Wales was pushing his luck. I still reckon a one off accidental penalty that the likes of law abiding SE'rs may incur can be ignored. Of course, some bloke on an internet forum can not be trusted to advise on such matters. :thumbsup
