2 main reasons for being trailer trash and 1 side reasons29ttc wrote: Why would people drive cars up in trailers to knockhill? With there wet and dry tyres depending on the conditions? They have got the car for fun and want the most out of it I believe. The modifications do not take into account ooooo wait better not do that because if it snows I might not be great in the snow, no the enthausists do it because its better on track, car will handle better, give more fun, smiles exitement and thrills. I can see exactly why someone would buy a 2nd car and mod it not taking into account drivabilty in various weather conditions as they have a daily driver
Main reasons are a nice selection of different tyres of varying degrees of illegal and ability to get myself and car home should i remove a corner.
the side reason is should someone else go pop or squish then they can borrow the trailer and towcar and get themselves home

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Re: Won't Go Out In The Wet
Not my experience Dom.
Ask John Stewart about my first runs with the Scoobys in '99 on the Tour d'Ecosse, just after I bought my car. Torrential rain and he put me in with the fastest group, Jools, Paul Marshall, Neil Scott, Rob Doyle.
Its a wonder I didn't kill myself, but no way was I going to be left behind. I was on P0's then, but nobody told me they were lethal in the wet. I then went onto Bridgestone SO2's which were much better.
Nowadays it is nearly always R tyres, but as long as they have good tread, I feel confident in the wet. With the proviso of course, dont put your foot down unless you are in a straight line, especially at roundabouts.
The S/C engine does help a lot though, as I can stay in 6th gear most of the time, 5th at roundabouts, so no big torque changes.
