Its making me think Scotty which is a rare event for me.

That's twice in less than a year that I have come around the corner to see the car in front a mangled wreck in the ditch.

driving on the road is 100 times more dangerous than on track, with or without you being there :damnfunny

Looks like I got away lightly (I am still going to Physio once a week) beeing in a crash did change my life and has cost me a fortune :thumbsup

Sounds like Brian just made a bad judgment and has paid for it dearly. Hope he gets well soon. If you see/talk to him, send him my best wishes.

Yeah it does make you think. 1st on track with Mark with no brakes up to the hairpin with the braided hose snapping. Then hearing about this accident. Then on Monday came into work and one of the boys in my work who I served my apprenticeship with had crashed his MR2 on Sat morning. Was put into an induced coma with shattered kneecap, broken legs, head injuries, bruised lungs etc.

Really makes you start thinking and certainly will be a lot more cautious out there.

4th attempt at posting with patientline ... aptly named.

1st off big thank you to tut, se's gaurdian angel, for performing the first aid, organising the ambulance and making sure it headed north and not ninewells, keeping the police fully aware of the details, gathering all the bumf out of the car, phoning home etc, etc. a very nice man to have in a crisis.

many thanks for all the posts, it was quite emotional reading through them.

i'm fine and nothing that won't fix, it'll just take time...

i'll post details once i get home, which may be tomorrow with a bit of luck...

ps i was black flagged at kh but it was a case of mistaken identity ...

Great stuff Brian, good to hear your on the mend albeit still in hospital, at least you have patientline to keep you amused and if you didn't have to write your message 4 times your day would have been longer... Keep the updates coming, hope your mobile soon.

wishing you a speedy, trouble free recovery!

Brian my boy, how the devil are you?

Great to see you able to use your hands and well enough to be cheerful, I have not heard how the op went other that you were in surgery for ten hours. Will give Isobel a ring to get an update when she gets home as I presume she is visiting you now.

I am coming into ARI tomorrow morning at 0800 for an Endoscopy, so will call in and see you then. If Isobel has not been into the Broch yet, I can go in with her and check over your car. I have the steering wheel here with the keys still in it. How's the pain, are you still on a morphine pump?

Have a good night and see you in the morning.

All the best

tut

ps no excuse for bad spelling, guardian not gaurdian.

Upsetting news, if it happened to me I'd want Tut to be there too!
Glad to see you are managing with the typing after 19hrs of surgery. Hope you have a speedy recovery and don't get too bored in hospital.

I was thinking the same, most people witnessing that would have panicked and possibly done the wrong thing, not sure I would have coped as well, I guess being shot down so many times lends a certain instinctiveness to dealing with a crisis.

Glad to see you posting, it wont be long till you're back in a new car :thumbsup
