Linda has also been reading this thread and would like me to pass on how touched she has been for the affection that has been shown for her husband.

I think like many of us, this was his second home.

Very sad to hear this. Brian was a charming, very friendly and cultured guy.

As regards Brian's Exige, Linda after the initial shock would like it to stay in S_E if that worked out.

As I have already had three contacts from our members who would like to buy it, then I have offered it to the first one, who wanted an Exige anyway, but was a bit outside his price bracket.

Thanks Tut.

I have had quite a few folk already contact me with regards to making a donation towards the previously suggested flowers. I think that proposal sounds like a better plan. I will figure out a way of collecting the donations and getting things organised (possibly a 'just giving' page) - watch this space.

What terrible news. So many people passing away through Cancer, Lawrence, my Mum and now Brian.

I first met Brian at a Walshy day at Crail just after getting my Elise. Great day out and we got on really well. A couple of days later I was in the pit lane ready for my first laps around Knockhill. The warm up was just a blur with all I noticed being a big blue Scooby in my rear mirrors. I got speaking to Brain again and he offered to take me out as a pax and give me some tips. Best thing I ever did and after that I was hardly off the track. During the time I had my Elise I did about 30 Knockhill track days and Brian was often there and was always good to catch up with him. On social events it was great to see Linda and Brain and they always chatted away to myself and Skye.

I will try and make it to the funeral service but might be a bit difficult as I have only started working again last week.

Our thoughts are with Linda at this sad time.

I was shocked when i found this out yesterday.

I spoke to brian just a couple of times, but listened in to many a conversation in the pitlane.
He was easy to approach and very friendly. I think the first time we were just looking at a car and then started chatting. :-)
A true S_E character, thats for sure.

When i had my elise, his quiet calmness in the briefing helped settle my nerves before I went out on track for the first time at KH.
If i do ever manage to get another elise and get out on track, it will be weird that hes not there as I am pretty sure he was at every other one i went to and it was good to have him about.

I am glad that he had another go out at KH.

RIP Brian.

Thanks Paul, was not sure if you had met him or not. For sure he was a real Eliser, and as everyone says, a great guy.

Not sure if you have seen this thread, but this is how we will remember him.

Terrible news.

I only met brian a couple of times but he was a true gent. The track day community could do with a lot more people like Brian.

My heart goes out to his family.

Searched and searched and only found one with Brian in it taken at Crail.

Brian on the right with Lee far left and Paul in the middle. Happy days.
