Just watching the latest one.

Why do they resuscitate the junkie, James? If he wants to kill himself with an overdose then let him get on with it, he is doing society a favour. He should be encouraged to take the little toe-rag Chris with him.

Being a Lotus forum I am guessing most of us have little experience of Junkies, Jakies and the less well off. Spending my youth in Hurlford I knew alot of people like those in the scheme, although heroin was to expensive so most people were on glue, lighter fluid, petrol and mushrooms. You don't really notice it or care when your young so what if ******* house had no wallpaper etc etc but looking back it must have been pretty grim for some.

As an outsider (ish) looking in it is funny listening to junkies call their junkie mates Junkie b'stards while getting ready to score some smack. The saddest thing of it all is that people beleive these "celebrities" to be cool and "role models"

And it is everywhere not just kilmarnock

Agreed it is everywhere. Fraserburgh has much the same. Look at Marconi road for example. Go down there at the right time and you will see somebody walking down the street with a samurai sword over his shoulder away to settle a debt. Also none of the houses have windows, all are boarded up.

I had quite a few friends who had parents who got mixed up in all of it. Some came from good, well off families however some came from families that didn't care, didn't work and didn't love them. There was no pattern in who got mixed up in it that I could see.

My problem with the Scheme is they glorify the whole thing. They make it look like an exciting lifestyle. There will be idiots at home watching thinking these people are "legends" of some sort. Bugs me to think about it. Especially as I hear some idiot outside the front of my house nailing it about the small street at 60mph on a quad bike. This is Northfield so probably little kids out at this time as well. He will be the kind of guy who looks up to the Scheme crowd. FML.

Rant over.

Above is rather large to repost, but agree 100%. There are too many impressionable clowns in this country to allow this to air. I wonder how much TV license each of us paid for this to be shown??

P.s I am not for a sniper, I favour a ground attack..... :P

I don't think the programme glorified it at all, quite the opposite.

Nizzy,
Believe it or not I've seen a lot worse than what I saw in that programme, Killie definately isn't the worst!

Watched this for the first time when I was round at my mates.

So frustrating its unreal but whats the solution?

Take away the benefits and crime will go up. Nothing will be safe.

Really they need put down, best option for all concerned.

Oh...and that community centre is never opening.

It gave him a moment of fame, it didn't glamourise his life, there is a difference!

That is not a sign of celebrity status but a sign that there are a lot of morons eager to waste cash on sh*t.

A fool and his money...
