So, I took my COFP and both parts of my licence, and my chequebook to the counter, and was dealt with by a rather stern lady, who kindly scribbled some stuff on my counterpart about being a very naughty boy.

Are they trained to be so disapproving?

I take it you meant A9 ;-)

And rough luck with 80 in a 70...with 10% +2 that implies you were just 1mph over. Albeit might have been an indicated 85, for which you clearly should be shot ;-)

In Englandshire they surely must set things for 80 absolutely min, judging by the pace of traffic passing us en route home from hols last weekend :?:

Yes, judging by yesterday's trip up the M6/M74 at 80 tuts you're roughly midstream when the motorway is flowing normally - plenty of people passing by - some at eyewatering speeds - but still some non-commercial traffic at <80.

Cheers,

Before the scam vans you could safely slot in behind a fast car, keep a good distant behind, and he would be hit by the patrol car radar gun.

Just not worth it with the robots, if you see them they have already got you. This is the reason why I have not had a point in five years after collecting 11 points in a single year.

Ask Colin about his, you may even get discounted rates together? :D

Ali C also used one. Main thing is to get it reduced from dangerous driving, to careless.

Good luck, I had a case recently and just got a solicitor to ask for it to be postponed.

tut, it is for speeding not careless/dangerous driving. It's only because I am away that I need one, won't be home before the court date.

I must have got that wrong then Mike, I thought Ali told me that he was automatically charged with dangerous driving as it was over 100, and he had to get it reduced to careless.

This may be useful for the likely outcome.
