They are indeed the dogs danglies of winter tyres.
Not bad value if you get a couple of winters out of them.

This is my second winter with the same set, still 5mm left on the front, haven't looked at the back yet. I could probably get away with a 3rd winter on them but after 4mm the snow capability is reduce significantly and that's actually the recommended point for changing winter tyres rather than the legal limit of 1.6mm. I'll still keep hold of them as spares should I get a puncture that can't be repaired.
They actually make running the Evora cheaper as you only get 6000 miles out a set of the Pirelli so I'd be buying 2 sets of tyres each year instead of 1. I'm actually switching to Michelin Pilot Super Sport for summer as they seem to be right up there with the PZero Corsa but last twice as long and have much better wet weather capability. Currently in the garage waiting for switch over in March.

You should get it on the rolling road and see how many more horses it got.
