Don't think many people predicted the great residuals on some of the Porsche's. Even the previously unloved 911 (964) has increased substantially in the last year or so.

Seems to be that if you have a limited edition Porsche its a good place to put your money. Criteria appears to be Motorsport derived, old school air cooled 911 or limited edition with a different body style (i.e. why Spyder is in demand and not the older RS60 Spyder).

Reckon if you pick up a good 944 Turbo or S2 that in 5-10 years they will be the next "increasing" Porsche (in relation to the purchase price) as most will have rotten sills and be rusting away.

Are you going to sell it though?

Steve.
Porsche Edinburgh want it so thinking it will be going there. Its not getting much use, and as it starts to appreciate more its going nowhere near a track in reality.
Bo**ocks, was hoping for a pax in the GT3 on the Frolic Andy, but 20k is a quick earner in a few months for a car though.

I am sure that you will replace it with something just as exciting.

Steve.

944 used to do it for me George. But will have to be heavily evolved Beetle if anything :-)

Exactly, never heard of many young lads that lusted after a Porsche, always a Ferrari.

Guy at work called me on Friday to ask if I wanted to buy his 52 plate 911 (996) turbo. It was the x50 variant with only 23k miles on the clock, fsh etc. He had to pull the advert after 3 hours as phone was ringing off the hook, including dealers. He also sold it for more than he bought it for. Sold to guy in London unseen who paid full price on phone.

Surely with silly prices like that, it is a very good reason not to buy a Porsche and buy a Fezza which is as good, or better in my opinion.

The next one to watch will be the 996 tt, unloved for too long. Super value for a Metzger engine.
