I bought mine in 2006 and have identified a watch i need in my life, but something has to go in order to fund, hence my question.
What watch are you fancying?
I have given up aiming for the AP for now.

So fancied something just for the sake of the change and tried this on at the weekend.

Quite liked it but only if i could sell on the carrera easily enough (not the car  ) but prob a load of hassle so will sit and do nothing about it.

Gareth, a few words spring to mind

Ostentatious, show off, brash....... The watch on the other hand is not too bad, would go well with the JPS colour on the exige! :P

I'm "due a new watch" soon but it won't be for that B&R. Can't find an official UK price but it's $22k.
Two months till the birthday fairies...just hope they haven't forgot about me :D ;)

Raymond Weil make some nice dress watches but for me I am afraid I find this too much of a compromise watch. If it is a chronograph you are after there are better makes and watches out there. Plus a chronograph with roman numerals ?! (I've never understood the appeal of roman numerals on watches anyway these days :scratch It's not as if they are used elsewhere in everyday life.) Perhaps a Tag, a Sinn or a B&R 126XL? But if after looking at alternatives this still appeals, as I said RW's are nice watches and just thought I'd express my thoughts :)

What price bracket are these?

I was under the perhaps illusion that the watch Gareth posted was 10 x the price of the RW.

There have been some pretty dire watches on here of late , so nice to see some life being breathed into this thread with two interesting models at different ends of the pricing scale

Mike

The RW is an attractive model that would serve you well for both dress and casual wearing .

Gareth

I have to give you some credit for noticing that the market is waking up to yellow and rose gold again. Many of the manufacturers are currently pushing rose gold/black face chronos.

Time to resurrect the 18kt Gold Day Date from my "Eighties Era"..........or maybe melt it down considering gold prices at £918/oz?

It is, but I am looking for a work watch and as such it can't have a steel bracelet which severally limits your options I have discovered. Want a chrono but also need to get it quick. Fly through Schiphol so may wait and try and get something tax free but don't have a lot of time between flights. That and I don't want to spend more than about £800. Current work watch is my Rolex sub bi-gold but not looking at hat level.

RW certainly not a bad looking watch IMO. And would be the top of my 'any' watch bracket...
Don't spend too much anymore because I have a habbit of forgetting to take the watch off when working (physical work) ie, gardening/car/house/workshop

Ye, so nearly bought it today but decided to hold off and see what's knocking about on my travels. Still be there when I get back and I will have more time. Still weary about buying online, can't be arsed with the hassle of sending it back and waiting for refund, but choices in Aberdeen are fairly limited.
