i reckon thats a great response by the police up here, would be even better if there was a video of the wee sh1t getting hauled out his house.

on a side note, since its the 4th days in of the riots, we should be more than prepared to take on the riots up here,

Let's be honest, the size of groups we are talking about are nothing compared to an Old Firm weekend. Pretty sure Strathclydes Finest could have them rounded up in no time.

If anyone wants to see whats going on in Birmingham and has Sky/Freesat, Sangat (channel 847) is worth a watch

They were showing burning cars a few minutes ago. From twitter it sounds like its worse in Nottingham - Police station firebombed!

Too wet and cold.

Scotland has less of a track record in rioting in general although there have been a few over the years. Riots are clearly possible in every large city where there is a great deal of social deprivation and areas of lawlessness and Scotland has plenty of that. It might also be simply that the large housing estates in Glasgow are on the outskirts away from the main shopping areas.
