No the driver did not stop to exchange details

Normally I would have sent this straight down to Rolex at Bexley ( Now Kings Lynn) but at current service prices have gone for a trade only independent.

I'll post a before/after pic when it comes back

Cheers

JP,

Glad you were OK - I missed what happened but saw you all bandaged up. I was the guy with the S1 along from your gorgeous green-meanie! Watches can be repaired, but just glad you are OK!

Hillclimbing is a weird sport, quite a few injuries in the past year, but the paddock is like a big family, so plenty of folk to help out :)

Thought I'd share my latest cheapy project (total cost about £130). I need a few everyday watches to abuse... It's unfashionably small at 36mm (even on my skinny wrists), but it's fun to watch the 7S26 doing its thing. :D

Strap is ROIS 1931 Juchten, extra padded, with white stitching. The deployment clasp is a cheapy steel no-name, matt to match the bezel finish.

Also picked up a couple of fun quartzes (sorry for swearing) for pennies each.

Next up is the Black Monster. Also fancy a G-Shock of some sort, and I've got a proper DIY idea for something unique (based on a simple gold plated ETA skeleton ébauche) if I can find a nice case for it... :thumbsup

Hello all,

I got a little unexpected bonus from work recently so have decided to get a watch which I have always liked. Now, being a child of the 90's this would be the Tag F1.

Excuse the ebay link but the model I am thinking off is this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-TAG-HEUER ... 0281470958

Are there any online vendors I should be looking at to get the best price? Thanks for any and all suggestions :)

Good going Mark. Which car next?

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

I like that, smart and subtle, and more in my watch type budget than most discussed in 'ere.  I do like seiko watches.

Not the most scientific mate, but when I found an old watch and wanted to identify it, I simply typed everything on the face into Google images and saw if anything matched - the images linked usually went to sales or wiki sites with further info...

Early Christmas present for me, Hamilton Khaki GMT Air Race.
Not going to be everyones cup of tea, but I tried one of these on at a local jewellers around a year ago & quite liked it for casual wear (42mm but looks bigger).

Was through at Argyle Arcade a few weeks ago & tried it on again, but it looked a bit different to what I remembered??... Did a bit of internet digging and found that they messed around with the position of the date & 2nd Timezone windows (among other things) and the cities are now just the ones from the standard GMT rather than specific to the Red Bull Air Race locations.

Quick search on the internet & I managed to bag this earlier pre-owned model:-
