It wasnt knocking the modus Ross
did you see 5th gear ross, the little modus smashed its way through a 940 volvo in a 40mph head on collision (closing speed of 80mph).
Really made you think about the strength of the wee motors nowadays.
Whats the modus being replaced with

You facking know
Not sure I've ever been so unexcited about collecting a new motor
Don't watch 5th Gear ever - isn't it meant to be a load of old bollocks?
So on that basis I apologise for jumping to yet another wrong conclusion

watched it by accident last night, and resisted the urge to turn over despite VBH's best attempts to make a good car review seem like an impossibility!
I thought the chap in the SLR was entertaining, driving aling creaming himself, and the Tiff v. Plato C4s v R8 was really good TV
Not entirely surprised by the outcome of the 740/940 whatever it was v. Modus .. would be a shame if car safety hadn't come along that far in 17 years! Poor Tom though... wonder how that will affect the residuals of his fleet of Volvos

The 5 star safety was the main reason my missus chose the Modus - over a Honda Jazz
Downside of this is the really thick windscreen A pillars which create monster blind spots when approach roundabouts etc

[devil's advocate mode]
Seems a trend for all cars... just as well they have better crash protection if you're more likely to have an accident IYSWIM.
