Tyre fitters in the burgh

Post by The_Rossatron » Fri Jan 27, 2006 12:18 pm

So my free tyre fitting fell through!

Anyone know of anyone decent tyres fitters in Edinburgh that won't gouge holes in my alloys? I've almost never heard of anyone who can fit tyres without scraping the wheels in some way.

So far only recommendation has been budget at £6 a wheel.

I've took a few customers into a tyre place on corstorphine rd. Cant remember the name of it, but they seemed proffesional (for a tyre place) and done the job there and then. It's normally got alloy wheels etc sitting outside.

Some of the edin boy will prob be better placed to advise you.

If your struggling i've got a number for a Kwickfit mobile guy who does our vans. Top bloke, takes care even when he's fittin vanco 4 seasons on rusty steel wheels!!

What about the place on Dundee Street, opposite Fountain Park, that does the alloys etc? Can't remember what it is called but they have some billboard type poster adverts around too.

I've never used them, but a mate got some alloys there a few years back, and they will be well experienced at fitting tyres to alloys I would have thought. :?

Auto image is the place on Dundee St. They did a top job on my car a few months ago when I put on new tyres. They have worked on lots of Lotus's so knew all the jacking points etc..

Ive taken all of my cars to Auto image on Dundee Street over the past 6 years - top job always done and reasonable prices too

The main fitter is a bit of a car nut so it should be in safe hands

Yes indeed!

Was a quick(ish) :) car for an oil burner.
Was going to get it remapped to 190 with 300 ft/lbs of torque
