she's back home - N1 TUT

Alan has done a great job on her, hard to believe the before and after.

Twas not just the re-spray, the car went in with four different colours, and he had quite a lot of repair work to do on both sills, front clam, one door, mirror assembly, front arch, and both front and rear bonnets. Everything was also stripped off, not just masked, and re-assembled.

He is a bit of a perfectionist, and it shows in the end result. All this a mile from home, in fact he is almost next door to John Duthie.

I did not think there was much chance of the wheels being resurrected, never seen any in that state, but again they have come up like new. The corrosion had eaten right into the alloy.

She has not been polished yet, will wait another week for the paint to harden completely, then speak nicely to Verian.

Now just need the boys to get going on the interior.

Of course, as she has been off the road since last November, our newer members would not have seen the real N1 TUT.

I know she was a mess, but also a lot of character, and probably unique.

Your car is looking stunning Tut. Having been in the spray painting trade for many years. (now retired) I can see there has been a lot of hard work that has been put into the paintwork. Keep is shinning :thumbsup 8)

So now taking bets on how long she can stay like that.

Start the bidding at 1 week. Or is that too optimistic ;-)

After 1st trackday maybe?

Or 1st run over the Lecht?!

Bravo Tut, she puts UJI to shame.
