Europa remap

Graeme at MMC tells me that the Europa has been remapped by Lotus from the GM/Bosche map and that this remap solves the fluffy turbo on feathering the throttle and also the lack of engine braking symptom that I had experienced and I didn't even know ;)

It also hauls the top end up to 225 horses and here's me only just managed to run it in at 7000 miles 8)

Who needs a Honda when standard cars are like this.......

I don't see why not if it's the same ecu....

They are going to do mine next week so I should be able to report on the changes very soon :)
I'll check the Ellopa ecu markings to see if they're similar to the VXT/VXR

Sadly I only managed 60 miles yesterday, and so I can't detail the full improvements yet.

Initial thoughts were amazement at the pickup the car now has, gone is the make sure there's 3k on the rev dial in 3rd, now 2.5k in 4th and soon 3 figure tuts are suddenly on the other dial, everyone else seemed to be traveling much slower ;) today.

It's a very fast car :)

Derrick had a wee shottie and was very impressed compared to his old S160, he liked the drive in any gear you want, go at any speed you want and continue conversations at any speed you want. He thought the Probax seating was amazing and it still drives just like an Elise but faster ;)

It's definitely the Lotus Road car, to the Exige's Track car, both excelling in their own areas..... oh! and did I say it's fast ;)
