NLC: Bored with a camera.

Okay,

I am leaving at 4pm today to avoid traffic. I want to go play with my D200 - any ideas where I can go practise some pretty nice landscapes? I don't want to go for miles, and I need to get setup way before sunset.

I have 3 more appointments to shoot today at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm, all families and children, feel free to come here and practise with any of my cameras and I will go for a drive

Maybe we can go for a spin one day and you can show me how to use this thing - too many menu's and buttons, haven't a clue what they are all for. Got 4 lenses too when I bought it, and lots of filters - not sure what is best to use and when!

Just thinking, if I leave at 4, head home for the camera, by the time I get to wherevber you are, your 5pm will be in. Would be cool to catch up though, I think I got a good eye for a photo, just too many damn options and bits of kit to think about.

I have been full time pro for over 15 years now but I still feel that I have not got a clue what I'm doing most of the time

My flash site is a template from http://www.bludomain.com

(I won it in a photo contest a couple of years ago, if I remember correctly at the time it should have been around only £500)

Camera wasn't overly expensive, besides i'm a non smoking teetotlar, got to spend my hard earned pennies on something!!

David,

How do you go about getting the most of Contrast with a D200? Take for example you have a landscape with ample dark shadows and vidid green fields / blue sky. How would you increase the blackness of the shadows and enhance the overall vividness of the various colours?
