as usual the ref goes against us  . the free kick that gave italy there second goal should never have been a free kick to italy it should have been us who got the free kick .

on reflection though, they DID get a free kick which wasn't - but they also had a goal chopped off that wasn't off side and we did get a goal that was offside.

Still - we did well and made the World Champions look average in the second half.

And the end of the group of death we walk away not qualifying but with our heads held high having played some great football (and a little duff) we never expected to qualify but come the next world cup time we will, if we can keep up the quality (young team and all) get a better seeding and it should be easier.

As for England they will scrape through and do well in the tournament they are a better team on paper than on the pitch I still think quarter finals before their luck runs out.

Well said Mac.

Terribly tough luck how did Miller miss the open goal though :?: Thought Hutton was tremendous gets better every time I see him. It wasnt this game that was the problem for Scotland I think it was the tactics in the last game. Absolutely love watching football in Scotland in a pub as the atmosphere is brilliant.
